The PineBelt Foundation – Your Philanthropic Partner

Our main goal is to meet the needs of our donors.  We pride ourselves on helping you meet your particular charitable goals, maximize your investment, and achieve the highest tax savings.

We will work with individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations to establish endowed or non-endowed Funds. Our pledge is to be responsive and helpful to you. If you wish, we will assist you to make the best choice of the type of Fund to establish at the Foundation, help select the organizations you wish to support, and continue to work with you as a partner over time.

As a result of our partnership, you and your fund receive the following services:

  • Set up of financial records
  • Periodic financial reports generated
  • Professional independent audit of the fund
  • Filing of annual state and federal reports
  • Professional investment services for endowed funds
  • Professional correspondence for all transactions (receipting donors for taxable donations)
  • Checks written and deposits made
  • Maintenance of all files
  • Accounting services for the fund
  • Review of all fundraising materials
  • Administrative services
  • Staff time associated with the above services

Receipting of Donors
Because the PineBelt Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, any gift made to your Fund is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.  All donations to your fund will be followed up with a receipt letter for the donors records.

Status of Your Fund
Each Fund holder receives a fund statement two times a year.  These statements provide specific information about the activity of your Fund during the period covered. If you need additional information, or more frequent statements, please let us know. We will be happy to provide you with all the information you need.

Recommending a Grant
Grants from the PineBelt Foundation may be made to non-profit public charities, churches, schools, government programs or to support community enhancement projects as noted in the IRS Guidelines (www.irs.gov).  When a grant is issued, documentation either by letter or e-mail will be sent to the advisor verifying payment of the grant.

Grants cannot be used for the benefit of the donor, donor advisor or other impermissible related party or for private benefit. The PineBelt Foundation exercises full authority in grant approval with advised recommendations from the donor and/or donor representative.

Grants to Non-Section 501(c)(3) Organizations
In order to protect its tax-exempt status, the Foundation must be prepared to demonstrate, upon audit, that it has established and has maintained adequate discretion and control to assure that all grant funds were issued in furtherance of its charitable purpose and function and meet the requirements of IRS 501(c)(3) organizations.
