Theresa Erickson, Executive Director

Theresa Erickson has over 25 years of experience in leadership and management both in the private and public sectors.  She is a value-driven visionary leader who creates and grows organizations and programs that bring about positive change in communities.

Erickson serves as the first full-time Executive Director of The Greater PineBelt Community Foundation and has been in this position since 2009.  She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Foundation including:  operational and governance development, asset development, donor services, strategic planning, marketing, public relations and advertising.  The PineBelt Community Foundation functions as a central nonprofit organization in the Pine Belt region to receive gifts from individuals, businesses, and organizations who wish to improve the quality of life in their community.

Previous to nonprofit work, Erickson served as the Business Development Director at Hattiesburg Clinic for twenty years.  In addition, because of her passion to enhance the quality of life in the Pine Belt region, she has served on many nonprofit boards throughout her career.

Ms. Erickson received her Bachelor’s degree in social work from Lubbock Christian University and her Master’s degree in communications from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.  She has also received the Certified Marketing Executive (CME) status by Sales and Marketing Executives International’s Accreditation Institute.
